Cone Saturation System
Two different systems for correctly saturating CPT cones and filter elements before testing.
The first option is to use a saturation kit to saturate filter elements (brass or HDPE) in the workshop or in the field. The tip and filter assembly is fitted under oil by placing a dedicated stainless steel funnel over the cone body — this is provided by our economical saturation system.
When the best possible saturation is required, such as in Application Class 1 tests where pore pressure data is critical, the entire cone together with the filter element is placed in a saturation chamber and de-aired together — this is provided by our advanced saturation system.
