Arable Land Auger — 25 cm
An arable land auger for sampling the upper layers of farmland. 13 mm diameter and 25 cm working length.
The arable land auger is suited to sampling the upper layer of soil. This auger type has an almost half-cylindrical auger body with parallel cutting edges running from top to bottom. The auger's diameter is 13 mm and its working length is 25 cm; total length is 58 cm. The fully galvanized arable land auger is also available as part of a set with a mineral gouge auger and two thumb spatulas.
The auger is used to take a 25 cm soil sample. Taking 40 samples yields roughly 2 kg of mixed sample. Well distributed across a plot, it gives a reliable indication of the soil composition.
