CPT Cones

The electronic cone contains temperature-compensated strain-gauge transducers that measure cone resistance and sleeve friction; a pressure transducer can also be added to measure pore water pressure when needed. The measurement range of these transducers can be changed according to user requirements.

The digital cone includes a built-in 32-bit-resolution analog-to-digital converter and an internal cone ID that comes with calibration factors, eliminating the effect of user and system errors on measurement. Cones are available as a compression cone with independent load cells for cone resistance and sleeve friction, or as a subtraction cone, a more rugged and durable design.
