Depth Registration System
A system that automatically logs depth data by tracking bridge movement in CPT push systems.
The depth registration system consists of a depth encoder mounted on a fixed part of the push unit or CPT rig, connected to the push bridge by a steel cable. It logs the bridge's movement when engaged manually via a switch or automatically via a proximity sensor.
Data from the depth encoder is sent to the Geologger and combined with the incoming cone data to create depth-referenced profiles.
