Soil Column Cylinder Auger Set
A soil column cylinder auger developed to take undisturbed soil samples, letting you quickly assess soil profile structure, root growth potential and more.
The soil column cylinder auger was developed to take undisturbed soil samples. This allows the structure of the soil profile, root system development potential and many other properties to be assessed quickly. The more insight gained on these subjects, the more effectively soil can be tilled and fertilized.
With the soil column cylinder auger system, it is possible to take near-undisturbed samples approximately 1 metre long and 90 millimetres in diameter, without needing to dig a profile pit.
The auger is driven into the soil with a petrol-powered hammer (Cobra TT); an electric hammer can be substituted on request. The soil auger has an easily removable side cover, allowing the sample to be inspected and/or sub-sampled.
