Mineral Gouge Auger
A mineral auger for sampling the top layer of soil to a depth of 30 or 60 cm.
The mineral auger is for taking samples in the top layer, to a depth of 30 or 60 cm. It has an almost half-cylindrical auger body with parallel cutting edges running from top to bottom, a 13 mm diameter, and a 110 cm total length (operational length varies by model — 60 cm or 30 cm versions are available). The extremely narrow auger body creates low friction and is made from non-toxic steel.
Designed for medium-hard to hard soils, producing semi-disturbed samples. Available individually or as part of a set that includes an arable land auger and thumb spatulas.
